Dr. Kimya Dawson-Smith, PhD
As Director of professional Workforce Development & Mentorship Engagement, Dr. Kimya Dawson-Smith works to develop partnerships that enable high school and undergraduate students to discover their strengths through internships with corporate and academic institutions.
With decades of experience in programmatic development, Dr. Dawson-Smith develops distinctive mentorship programs that align with the goals and objectives of Better Family Life.
In addition, she ensures that mentors and mentees are provided with training resources to ensure positive learning outcome, while monitoring and evaluating the impact of Better Family Life’s programmatic offerings for students.

Mentors teach critical technological skills as well, such as how to automate business operations and use cybersecurity to protect intellectual property.
